Thanks for the heads-up on the embedded images, that is indeed a PITA. I've stuck with kbin/mbin because I browse on desktop and am not a fan of Lemmy's UI. Maybe I'll take a look at it again at some point.
Not at all. You can buy a receiver to use Xbox's proprietary wireless standard, which is marginally faster than bluetooth, but I use an Xbox Series X controller with my pc over bluetooth and it works just fine.
You'll need to check the specs of your laptop to be sure, but most laptops nowadays have a bluetooth receiver built in. All you need to do is pair your xbox controller to it (and it's natively supported in Windows) and you're good to go.
Or they're going because now is a prime opportunity to visit on a budget. A tourist tax could mean some visitors staying for less time or deciding to visit somewhere else.
He has bills to pay like the rest of us, and considering he left traditional games media to start a crowdfunded project (NoClip), I doubt he would take a deal like this unless he needed to.
I prefer 1/100 models for their size and extra detail, but there's a lot more selection with HG kits. I've only built a couple RG kits.
Since you mentioned SD kits, check out the MGSD kits. Both are great builds and look nice with good articulation.
I haven't moved since I started Gunpla, but I would suggest plastic containers or sturdy cardboard boxes and layer with egg crate foam. Also disassemble the models a bit (arms, legs, weapons, backpack) before packing to move.
I've built the RX-178 MK-II. It's a really good build, especially for being so old. The only thing I can think of mentioning for it is it has screws, so you'll need a small phillips head screwdriver.
When I worked help desk, a coworker of mine took a call where someone called in because one of the thin clients was on fire. The user was advised to call 911.

Love this guy, probably my favorite "grunt" unit. I built the MG version, and eventually want to get a 2nd one to paint.

Yeah, for sure. Ever since I started gunpla, I saw this guy and thought "He looks ridiculous... I want him."
