The only way to build towards a dream like that is two things, imho
Save money. Take high paying jobs you may not like much to just save up.
Learn. Read books on gardening, on simple living, on maintaining and restoring a home, and watch YouTubers who live the life you want to live and see the downsides of it too. (For the latter, Tyler and Todd might be a good fit, they are building a container home in the middle of the woods and they do show the setbacks as well as the triumphs)
That looks great and such a clever idea with the loop!
As for the ruler, maybe you could make a cutout from a piece of cardboard of the same thickness that the ruler fits into so that the page is flat for writing?
This could be me. I first really fell in love in my thirties. Before that I had book boyfriends. Characters who I related to because of how they were written.
I didn’t know what aromantic/asexual was at the time, but they both fit me. I’m now married to a man who is my best friend and who accepts me as I am.
And being aro/ace doesn’t mean that I don’t have feelings. I do. I just have no idea whatsoever on how to express them and still feel like me, I guess?
I’m right there with you. If I were Kuss, I would sign for another team because at JV he will always be just a domestique, apparently. That’s what Jonas and Primos told him today with their actions. They could have worked for him as he has worked for them so so often.
And then Jonas said in an interview that he hoped Kuss would win the Vuelta. Actions speak louder than words, dude!
Team Sky came close when they had Wiggins and Froome, but in the end Wiggins was top. A predecessor of JV once named Mollema, ten Dam and… Gesink? as their GC guys. They did a n interview about it and it was so awkward

Me neither! And I mean it’s a world tour race! I’ve seen continental races that were better organised than this.
It’s amazing that there were not that many injuries because everyone had to adjust the speed.
Favourites are so far behind because of this too. And I know that there will be stages to catch up but it’s not a fair race this way.
Evenepoel was rightfully angry. I can’t imagine what it must have been like for the teams, barely able to see where they were going!
