IMHO, you need two things for "deep talk": authenticity and vulnerability. You can't have that level of connection without both individuals bringing those to the table. I, personally, don't get to that level flippantly--only with people I know and trust can reciprocate. If you try to force it, you get the opposite: shallowness.

Jonathan Coultan is my favorite singer-songwriter, ever. He's drifted away from "comedy" songs recently, but he's still fantastic. He's able to perfectly straddle funny and sad, somehow.

He's had a few brushes with more widespread notoriety, too: he wrote "Still Alive" and "Want You Gone" for Portal 1 & 2, the opening song to the show "Brain Dead," the theme song to RiffTrax, and a great cover of "Baby Got Back" that Glee ripped off without crediting him.

Highly recommend!!!

"The Kings of the Wyld" by Nicholas Eames. Only a few chapters in, but I love it.

The premise is: decades after a famous band of heroes has retired, one of them tries to get the band back together again to rescue his daughter. They're all old and grumpy, and it's just awesome. Very dry humor.

Played through it a couple of times now. I love it. The Arwing feels amazing. The Landmaster feels clunkier than I remember, but I still enjoy it. The music is fantastic! These fully orchestrated tracks are almost worth the price of the game (for me).

The game is still super fun with lots of replay value. I admit most of my feelings are coming from nostalgia, though. So, if you've never played StarFox 64 (or any StarFox game), it might be a little too expensive on its own, maybe...? That's something each person is going to have to decide on their own, though. For me, I've really enjoyed it so far!

Never had epilepsy with a migraine (so far, at least), but that sounds scary. Sorry you're dealing with that. Migraines are bad enough on their own. Hope you get some answers soon!

I was expecting a prequel, but this looks way more interesting! I think the burning dude is Ifrit, which may make the woman Shiva...? She mentioned Sekmet after that bright light. And that strange mask of Odin's is somehow related? So much potential here!!

Also, if this is the afterlife of the gods, then it seems like there would be a ton of Greeks who'd love to meet Laufey once they realize who her husband is...
