I'm reasonably convinced that the flat earther explosion was at least encouraged by nefarious actors to see what dumb shit people will actually believe. I feel like the flat earth videos on YouTube are directly related to the recent rise of the extreme right, it primed so many of these people to reject reality so completely.

We had a local computer repair place called Coyote Computers who set up 5 gaming PCs and charged me and my friends a dollar an hour under the table to play the original CoD or HL2 mods after school. Good times.

KLK is my favorite anime of all time. I love Kazuki Nakashima, Gurren Lagann also pretty big for me. Still gotta watch BNA.

Trigger is great, I know a lot of them come from the Gainax legacy. Edgerunners was great, they also did Dungeon Meshi and New Panty and Stocking among others. They're my second favorite studio after Cloverworks.

I have seen Inferno Cop but it's been a while and I know there's gonna be more soon so I should revisit.

I love Kill la Kill so much. The wedding fantasy is such powerful imagery, knowing the context makes Ryouko's smile here scary and sad.

I cry at EVERYTHING. It's honestly a little ridiculous. Especially if it is about a dog or if weirdos are nice to each other.

Yeah you could go either way, it handles tone control excellently. It's got everything!

Winter season looking pretty good, I'm excited for Medalist and Frieren the most. I need to catch up on Oshi No Ko that's coming back too

  • Girls Band Cry (girl band)
  • The Dangers in My Heart (romcom)
  • Medalist (sports comedy)

All involve writer Jukki Hanata, who worked on "A Place Further Than The Universe" I'm pretty sure, and are all emotional bangers.

  • Gurren Lagann (robits and oppression / rebellion)
  • Kill la Kill (fashion and authority / conformity, my favorite anime of all time)

These two are my favorite action shows, strong political overtones and actual ends to the stories, very satisfying. Same creator for both.
