Cannot believe this is controversial tbh, I hate creeping Americanisms as much as the next guy, but the very fact people are arguing about it here is proof that "football" is ambiguous in online spaces

This is a bit reductionist. There are plenty of countries around the world where "football" doesn't refer to soccer (i.e. any country with a large national football code, gridiron, or rugby)... Australia, new Zealand, South Africa, Pacific islands, Ireland, etc...

Football simply means Aussie Rules in Australia. Don't lump us in with the yanks lol.

As an Aussie visiting Europe that regularly deals with these temperatures... This is so much more uncomfortable than an Aussie summer. But it's an easy fix: make AC a standard measure (the amount of shops and restaurants here that are high 30s INSIDE is something I've never seen before), make free drinking water a legal requirement, and make public toilets a thing too (so people don't need to worry about hydrating!)

He didn't come out btw, he's been openly gay for a long time (although some voters are only finding out about it now he got elected). He is still very much a far-right politician (for some reason).

I'm no connoisseur, but Brotzeit in Joondalup has some good savoury ones.

Honourable mention to the UWA tavern Oktoberfest pretzels, they always hit the spot.

Wait, the rest of the country doesn't have a fuel cycle?? Huh.

Pro: you can reliably get "cheap" fuel on a Tuesday.

Con: Everyone gets fuel on Tuesdays, and you will sit in traffic to fuel up. And if you run out of fuel on a Wednesday or Thursday, you're gonna be (even more) broke.
