Like any technology, doing it under capitalism is kinda the problem.
There's no restraint being put up to do it in a way that's actually FOR the people instead of for financial gain.
I think it can be worthwhile with lessened impact on the environment. Doing it the way we are with SpaceX launching a ton of cheap SATCOM satellites is BAD.
The difference is, you can still go somewhere to see the stars. This guy is pointing out that you WON'T be able to do that because of satellites, where changing you're own viewing area can't effect that same change.

Yeah, similar article by ABC says "upset". Then they compare the money that each candidate raised.... It wasn't an upset, people are angry at the mistreatment we've been going through. The money in politics is an abomination.
I will say, sometimes you need space/time to settle an argument. Not saying let it hang but I think understanding your partners space/time needs is critical.

National Guard is a small part (and state specific) of the military AND is mostly representative of the state they're from. They usually have a more homogenous world view derived from the culture of their state.
Active duty military gets to experience other places and takes people away from their home state, usually improving their world views.
Point being, it's not black and white, and generalizations are generally useless.

I'm going to attempt to TLDR your post, there is nuance to be had, but only so far as that nuance doesn't justify irreversible damage or behaviors that are hateful (and damaging as a result) with no objective basis. We should all be kinder to each other.

I think a lot of people arrive at cultural relativism, and I hope they grow past it. Or they never make it there which is probably worse.
Totally understood. I live in Colorado, and it's insane how different it feels living here than when I lived in Texas...
The Democratic party needs to change, and it's people like Mamdani that seem to be genuinely interested in progress.
