I'm from Boston and this is painfully accurate. Especially the last line. My last job was a delivery job and me and the other person were constantly questioning if it was one lane or two.
I actually love it now that I'm used to it. It's just a totally different driving mentality from anywhere else in the country, that's all. Everyone pays attention, everyone's assertive about getting where they're going, everyone takes responsibility. If you want things to be friendly you will have a real bad time, but it's actually one of the safest driving cities in the country. It's just hard to get used to at first.
Related story, a friend of mine was turning onto a 4-lane undivided road in California, and he butted out into one lane of traffic and waited for the traffic in the other lane to clear so he could go. To him from Boston this was normal. Every single lane of traffic came to a complete stop because of this crazy guy sideways in the middle of the road. he thought it was pretty funny.
"This is Florida! The whole goddamn state is shaped like a gun! You can't walk to your mailbox without tripping over three of them. God forbid you sell one to a cop!"
Not "crazy" per se, but west of the Mississippi, cities are set up on a grid, whereas eastern cities look like their planning was established by throwing a plate of spaghetti at a wall.
there's some towns in austrailia that are absolutely insane. not going to list them here they are actually that bad. also not sure if they are still named what they are
Super annoying that they filter words here so I don't know what "removed" was referring to. Instinctively I guessed cun* but could be any number of things. Thanks anyway.

Not a map, but things I've seen on the roads in Boston:

Navigated Boston a few times using only a road map (long time ago). My spouse and I always cite it as proof our relationship can handle anything.

I just like those moments on Google Street view when there are people looking right into the Google camera.

Finland has many, but the big penis-shaped river is pretty good.

I can’t remember where it was, but I used to work at a title company. We processed a refinance on “Whiskey Dick Ln”.
