Meme aside, there is no justification for doing that. Even if I saved up my own money, I wouldn't get an extravagant hobby when others at home are starving. It's just asking for trouble.

A $1999 pc, sure. But not $2000! That's just too much.

That dollar could buy the family enough Ramen to avoid starving.

Cosmonaut_Collin@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 3y

Gotta save the $1 so you can buy a box of pasta for the rest of the year.

Eh, the wife isn't starving either. Clearly the kids aren't trying hard enough

schnensch@lemmy.world · 9 pts · 3y

They should just stop being hungry. Easy fix.

I've actually never seen this format before and I must say I quite like it.

$2000 just for the GPU...

AzuleBlade@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 3y

At least it'll keep the place warm in the winter.

androidul@lemmy.ml · 7 pts · 3y

buy now, cry later

ByteJunk@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 3y

Would have upvoted because of Shawn alone, otherwise with how GPUs are priced, 2k is worth a couple of hungry mouths

vulnerability@lemmy.ml · 4 pts · 3y

I loved Shaun the sheep
