"may still get the odd update 'here or there'" to f***up my mod list, YAY!

Still haven't managed to get myself to do the big update yet because of the metro mod. 😭

aesopjah@lemm.ee · 6 pts · 2y (3 replies)

metro mod works (I'm on v2.01).

didn't they add official metros in the latest update anyway?

Murdoc@sh.itjust.works · 3 pts · 2y (2 replies)

Yeah but from what people are saying, it isn't as good as the mod version. 😢

UpperBroccoli@feddit.de · 2 pts · 2y (1 reply)

Really? When I tried it, it was buggy as hell. Sure, in the official version, you can't walk around the subway, but there are people in it, and you can look out the window, and it tells you what station is next and all that. Actually pretty chill.

Murdoc@sh.itjust.works · 1 pts · 2y

Haven't had much problems with bugs, probably depends which version(s) you've tried. As for the rest, maybe I should look for some videos to see for myself. Is there radio on the official one?

So pissed at Skyrim for doing this. Why touch it now after all this time? Fuck you Todd. I will not pay for your shitty mods.

I bought the game about 6 months ago, and it failed to grab my attention. Ran great on my pc, super fast load times, graphics look good on triple wide too, and only came across one bug that I can remember, so guess I'm lucky. Maybe I should re-try it.

I have 100 hours in the game, I only have a few more achievements to do and then Im going to complete the game. In usually not a completionist like that, but I got really hooked on this one

state_electrician@discuss.tchncs.de · 9 pts · 2y

It's one of the very few games I've finished thrice. It just really grabbed me.

2.0 massively rebalanced shit, so if you played in a different way on your return that might also explain it

I played 1.0 as a hacker wizard man with 0 combat skills at all, but that's a LOT harder (and, worse, annoying) as of 2.0, so I had to rework my character to find the fun

I bought it on launch and it never caught me. I gave it a shot. tried again with my new PC running it in 4k and man did it look beautiful, but I just couldn't do it. I think I should just restart and commit to it

massive_bereavement@kbin.social · 1 pts · 2y

Same here. It ran well, but somehow the gameplay was a tad shallow and it didn't make me play twice.

I probably enjoyed more the introduction than the game overall.

RedWeasel@lemmy.world · 17 pts · 2y

Really like this game. I am not a completionist, but I believe I have done all the endings including the DLC. Got nearly 300 hours in. Has it been buggy? Yes. But that was mostly resolved to a playable state a couple/few months after release.

Hope to see something in the same universe in the future.

gnuplusmatt@reddthat.com · 4 pts · 2y (1 reply)

finally started playing through the base game recently, about 30 hrs in trying to get everything done before I go to the final mission. Will the DLC be worth it?

humbletightband@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 3 pts · 2y

I felt strange a similarity between the DLC and Fallout 3 DLC

Dagnet@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 2y

Now release the complete edition and give it a 50% discount so I can finally play this game

PhAzE@lemmy.ca · 3 pts · 2y (3 replies)

I just went through it a month or two ago, and was super surprised at how short it was. Not that it's bad to be semi short in an open world game, but it was a one and done thing for me. Witcher 3 for comparison lasted me 200 hours, but this game was less than 60.

I thought I remembered it taking far longer than that when I played it many years ago.

PhAzE@lemmy.ca · 2 pts · 2y

Yep, that's why I said it's not a bad thing to be short in my comment. It feels right, like it doesn't force you to stick around too long.

It’s a good game now, had a blast with it the past few months.

I got lucky, hardly experienced any bugs at all and I had the game from day one. Loved the atmosphere.

PP_BOY_@lemmy.world · -8 pts · 2y (5 replies)

Agreed. I tried my first playthrough after upgrading my PC around the holidays and dealt with constant crashes and texture/model issues. No idea what people say about this game being "fixed," when the problems I experienced were the same ones I saw on clips years ago.

strawberry@kbin.run · 1 pts · 2y (4 replies)

I never really experienced any issues, not back in 1.6, not in 2.0, it just runs like shit. admittedly my PC is 6 years old and wasn't anything crazy back then

Hyperreality@kbin.social · 3 pts · 2y (3 replies)

Weird. Runs fine on my i7-6700k with an rx580. Probably older than your pc.

strawberry@kbin.run · 0 pts · 2y (2 replies)

ye mines also a laptop, I blame that idk

Hyperreality@kbin.social · 2 pts · 2y (1 reply)

Ah, yeah. That'll probably do it. Usually lower spec and/or mobile version graphics/cpu.
