I will attempt to enhance the unpopularity of your opinion, by saying that in addition, mods that dont actively contribute to the communities they moderate, are likely in it just for the power dynamic they hold. That applies to Lemmy as well.

The crux of this type of community. The popular opinion on Lemmy could be somewhere else's unpopular opinion and vice versa.
