I never knew how much I needed a war beagle companion until now.

I'd encourage my beagle to become a war beagle like Petyr, but his nose gets him into so much trouble already.

Yes they are. My beagle is very loud and very silly. I got him a baby sister a few weeks ago. An 8 week old mini goldendoodle. She has been trying to imitate my beagle's bays, but only ends up howling. It's so great lol. He is so concerned over her and gets very jealous of I give his sister attention. He's not upset that I'm giving her attention, he's upset that she isn't giving him attention.

Sounds like my Akita

Do Akitas follow their noses like crazy? I'm not familiar with the breed, other than the fact they got cute curly tails

Akitas were companions for Japanese nobility so they hunted, guarded, and loved on their masters very devoted, and I specifically had an American Akita, who are cross-bred with German Shepards. They're extremely intelligent, and will chase anything they see, not so much smell, but oftentimes absolutely.
