Seriously this is the easiest way to thread a needle.

@teft That's cool! I'll have to try that. I needle my thread (as opposed to threading my needle), and it works just about every time. Drives people nuts, too. ("OMG! How did you DO that??!!??")

Must be the only cat in the world that wouldn't drop the needle and make off with the thread (or eat it and give you $$$ in vet bills).
