@DarkNightoftheSoul I'll see what aI can do. Thanks for the suggestion! 😄 I kind of tried a couple of times with a post or two, but sometimes it's harder to show if you're not *right there.* But I will try harder to do that. 😄 Thanks so much again! 😄
@DarkNightoftheSoul I'm sorry...not meaning to spam. I just love finding new "toys" to do #CrossStitch with, and I love to share the things that make me happy so others can enjoy them too! 😄
@kat_angstrom I have some, but I normally stitch in-hand so a needle minder doesn't really work for me...but maybe I can attach one to my bobbin box! Then it doesn't HAVE to be attached to my work to work! Wow! #InspirationHasHit!!! 😄🎉😄🎉😄 What a brilliant idea! Thank you!!! 😄🎉😄🎉😄
@Sarah@lemmy_stitch@crossstitch The one my Husband has is actually REALLY SMALL. Until I actually saw it, I didn't think a grab tool could be that little and actually work! You may want to see if you can find one in a store to see for yourself if it may be the right size to help.
@Sarah@lemmy_stitch@crossstitch
I'm sorry! Scratch that! They have a tool you might be able to use for that too! A flexible grab tool!!This pic is of a set Walmart carries for around $7. It includes the telescoping magnet tool, a magnetic bowl (also great to keep track of #PinsAndNeedles) and the flexible grab tool. You push the button on the end to open the little claw. These should also be found in most automotive tool stores. #FantasticCrossStitchToolsAndWhereToFindThem
@Sarah@lemmy_stitch@crossstitch Maybe you could get one and put double-sided tape on the end so they stick to the tape when you need to pick them up?? It *might* work! 😄
@kerravonsen@lemmy_stitch@crochet@knitting Yes! Exactly! I usually work from a table or a TV tray, and we don't have much room, so it's perfect for me and it holds my tablet exactly where I can see it best! 😄
@verity_kindle Lol. Husband and I got into a HUGE argument one day because he doesn't like butter that's not easy to spread. So I showed him the package, which clearly states...*ahem*... "Must Be Refrigerated." 😄
@verity_kindle I can imagine! Husband is trying 2 sleep in & we live in a small 1 bedroom apartment, so I don't have any other rooms 2 go in & close a door 2 keep noise down. It's a bit frustrating because I *really* want 2 get it all finished before the weekend so I can design or stitch. But...if it was me, I wouldn't be as nice as 2 simply say, "Why don't you work on #CrossStitch for awhile?" instead of having 2 apologize later for sounding like a combo of Yosemite Sam & the Tasmanian Devil...
@lemmy_stitch@crossstitch@embroidery@textilearts@fiberarts@fibrearts So! I've posted the Iris Color Chart, their conversions and my own conversions in case anyone else buys Hobby Lobby's thread packs and wants to have an easy(er) time of converting to DMC. They are the Primary, Pastel and Variegated Colors thread packs, and Iris apparently sells to Michael's and other retailers too. #HappyStitching! 😄
@teft That's cool! I'll have to try that. I needle my thread (as opposed to threading my needle), and it works just about every time. Drives people nuts, too. ("OMG! How did you DO that??!!??")
Mastodon gave me problems uploading, or it may have been my internet connection at the time, not sure. I hope the YouTube posting works, at least. 🙂
@lemmy_stitch @crossstitch @christianstitchers @textilearts @fiberarts @fibrearts Well, now it's a #Cat toy. Our #Kitty was so depressed that Husband got gifts for his birthday and she didn't have anything to open, I felt obligated to give it to her so she didn't feel left out. So now I have to make a new one for *me*. At least she likes it! And she's not depressed anymore! 😄 @christianartists #CrossStitch #Embroidery #Sewing #Ladybug #Ladybugs #Cats #Catstodon #CatsOfMastodon #Handmade
@lemmy_stitch @crossstitch @christianstitchers @textilearts @fiberarts @fibrearts I originally started this as a solution to my #BadHabit of holding my needle in my mouth while getting more embroidery floss ready in between colors as I #CrossStitch. My idea was 2 make a #PinCusion that had Velcro on the bottom, so I could either wear it as a bracelet while stitching or use it on a table if I needed to...

@KittenBiscuits @Nima I know they make pincushion bracelets, but I would think it would be a bit awkward and I'd probably*still* forget to use it! 😅

@Sabre363 Lol. I don't think that will help much in my case...😅

@verity_kindle But I *like* salted butter milkshakes! 😉
@verity_kindle Ah, ha! I *knew* I wasn't the only one to channel Looney Tunes characters!!! 😅😉

@Hobbes_Dent Sorry about that. I've copied the link from my YouTube and going to try to add it to my post in case there's any more problems with it.
