Then you play with the spring which ends up shooting across the room and into another dimension and you no longer have a pen.

Sure you do, it's just much, much skinnier.

Then you take the spring from an empty pen and use that one.

I just had immediate flashbacks to taking apart every pen I could get my hands on in church service

Back in '93 I could field strip a Bic pen in ten seconds blindfolded

Just hide them underneath the hymnal in the back of the pew ahead of you, no one will know your sins.

The calling of an aspiring bomb defusion technician.

A: "They're giving the signal, the bomb's defused!"

B: "They were so fast as well, truly one of our best."

A: "Hold on, what are they doing now?"

B: "Are they repairing the bomb?!"

Back in Junior High, two friends and I used to speed break down and rebuild these like they were rifles or something. Had a blast timing ourselves.

I can field strip a G2 blindfolded. Hu-ah!

Why didn't they take the metal top off? You have to dismantle it the entire way. Amateur.

Now rig it up so that it will fire out that little plastic bit.

Speed reassembly is one thing, and sourcing parts from different pens to make mixes is fun too.

Meanwhile I'm getting stressed when accidentally mixing up parts of two identical pens

this exact model of the pen is the type i used to dismantle the most.
