Around the time Bitcoin was brand new, I turned down a simple job that would have cost me a week of work, because the guy only wanted to pay me in 300 Bitcoin.

I didn't even have a different job in the pipeline, just didn't want to work for money that's worth nothing...

There was a promo in Germany around the same time where it was possible to pay with Bitcoin for a pizza delivery service. Back then, I was curious and bought around 150 Bitcoins, spent around half of it on a single pizza and later deleted the wallet. The pizza was delicious and I found it funny to test paying with just some cryptographic keys. And no, I seriously don't have hard feelings towards that.
