Almost got it, it’s

nano
rtxn@lemmy.world · 7 pts · 2y

nvim

bhamlin@lemmy.world · 11 pts · 2y (5 replies)

They could possibly mean neovim. They appear to have spelled it wrong, though.

neidu2@feddit.nl · 21 pts · 2y (2 replies)

vim was a mistake. Go back to vi.
...but modernizing it is still a good idea, so I present to you: neovi

(No, I'm not serious)

AVincentInSpace@pawb.social · 5 pts · 2y

nvi is a thing

timetraveller@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 1y

vi is what I used

taaz@biglemmowski.win · 8 pts · 2y

does not fit though

luckily we vim fanatics do not have to worry, through the power of wordle solver, we can use exits instead lol

subtext@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 1y

Wilzax@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 2y

no, it should be kakoune :P

hinterlufer@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 2y (2 replies)

neovim?

happy_saw@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 2y

I don't think about neovim being separate to vim, sorry.

I was expecting a 'better than emacs' clue to go along with this one.

hallettj@leminal.space · 3 pts · 2y

It seems like only one side of the ancient rivalry is represented in the comments here. No worries, I'm right there with you.

lemmyng@lemmy.ca · 33 pts · 2y (1 reply)

I think there's a mistake, I can't fit "neovim" into 8 across.

waigl@lemmy.world · 14 pts · 2y

And "nothing" does not fit, either.

PixelAlchemist@lemmy.world · 22 pts · 2y

You need a spell checker friend.

Bolt@lemmy.world · 21 pts · 2y (10 replies)

Pretty confident in my solve. The only ones I didn't get myself were 20-down, 29-down (obvious in retrospect), and 21-across (inferred the word, but didn't know the tool).

You can imagine my face reading the response of 15 lol I thought it was going to be a specific program hahaha I had a lot of fun with it and there were just a few I missed so I would love to see more like these in the future :)

iz_ok@sh.itjust.works · 3 pts · 2y (8 replies)

I don't think your spoiler tag worked.

Tartas1995@discuss.tchncs.de · 9 pts · 2y

Voyager Displays it correctly.

Boost For Lemmy is not rendering spoiler tag

AVincentInSpace@pawb.social · 3 pts · 1y (3 replies)

Are you using Sync? It never got the memo that Lemmy spoiler tags don't work the same way as Reddit ones and famously displays them improperly

iz_ok@sh.itjust.works · 2 pts · 1y (2 replies)

I am using Sync. Any suggestions on a better alternative?

AVincentInSpace@pawb.social · 2 pts · 1y

The official app (maintained by the Lemmy developers) is Jerboa, which is what I've been using. It works well enough, although it always pays to shop around, install a bunch of different clients and see which you like best. Sync, to my knowledge, is the only client, for mobile or web, that renders spoilers in that broken way.

TwilightKiddy@programming.dev · 2 pts · 1y

Try Thunder.

nossaquesapao@lemmy.eco.br · 13 pts · 2y

Today I learned that gnome has a crossword maker. Now I need to play with it too!

RagingRobot@lemmy.world · 13 pts · 1y

I wonder if anyone ever made a crossword that also works as a QR code

AceFuzzLord@lemm.ee · 7 pts · 2y (4 replies)

So... Anybody smarter than me know that 24 across is. I thought something like showering/bathing because supposedly people don't like to shower/cleanup as cons but neither seem to fit. Then I thought friends but that doesn't make sense either. So I got nothing.

Edit: Remove the ING from showering and it fits. Gotta check the connected ones to see if it works, though, assuming I get those right.

Edit Edit: I absolutely hate the "Best WM (Wayland) one because that is too subjective to be able to be answered correctly, if you ask me.

cetvrti_magi@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 2y

Best WM (Wayland) shoud be Hyprland, it's exact length and fits with 18 and 32.

AVincentInSpace@pawb.social · 3 pts · 2y

I get G _ N _ _ R there.

I'm not 100% confident about the G but the other two I'm positive of. It's not SHOWER but I have no idea what it is

AVincentInSpace@pawb.social · 1 pts · 1y (1 reply)

Someone else said it.

::: spoiler 24 across is GENDER :::

AceFuzzLord@lemm.ee · 1 pts · 1y

I must have missed that comment.

DmMacniel@feddit.org · 5 pts · 2y

why are there so many List Files... ? Also 31 doesn't fit.

All those Distro Questions (29, 18, 27) are missing 2 spaces (OS is part of their name)

BackOnMyBS@lemmy.autism.place · 5 pts · 2y

19 down - WinNT

RTFM!!

TrenchcoatFullofBats@belfry.rip · 2 pts · 2y

Confused man it sounds

NeatNit@discuss.tchncs.de · 2 pts · 2y

Nice. I solved 22 (with 2 of them being unsure), there's 12 I don't know. I can only assume the multiple listings of 'List files in current directory' is a deliberate joke because you use it so much, but somehow it doesn't feel right.

You should find a website to share it where people can play it interactively! I'm sure such websites are out there, it's too obvious.
