Anyone saying they are fiscally conservative and not backing projects with massive ROI for the country (infrastructure, climate, single payer) are just trying to excuse the fact that they are selfish to the extent of supporting bigotry in order to make a few extra bucks.
My former best friend was "fiscally conservative". What that actually meant was that he hated poor people and wanted cuts & heavier restrictions on government programs for them.
He was raised on food stamps his whole life, but oh well.

Funny thing is if you're fiscally conservative you'd vote for Dems, they bring the deficit down. Republics blow up the deficit.
