Between time, land, water, food, raising a cow is an endeavor, it might be one of the hardest food sources to grow that we have, and that's even with raising them locked in a cell their whole life, which we should try not to do.
I think the 25$ hamburger is a good thing, it reflects the real cost of beef. The only reason it's been low is because we subsidize the cattle industry immensely, and we used to do it more. It's also because demand has gone down and supply has followed, the more people eat vegetarian the more a hamburger will be priced like the luxury it should be.
And to be fair, I know that our crops of cattle feed were ruined by the tariffs and the straight closing, I would bet the increased cost is preempting the expected downfall of these crops in the coming years.
You can. I think what you're referring to is that you can get a deeper meaning of the art by learning about the artist, but you can still separate the art.
This comic is a perfect example. You can separate Mein Kampf from the artist, and guess what? It's still a terrible piece of art. Bingo bango, all it took was media literacy.

Contrary to popular opinion, Marx was not against branding or mass production. The only thing Marx could be against for something like this is the implication that it's made via exploitation. Which, I think any product these days even something from "communist" China is clearly unable to avoid that.
Marx didn't even mind some forms of trade and commerce. Especially for luxury goods like cigarettes. He thought the practice would die naturally as we normalized communism but would probably not have balked at something like this.

I think overall it's healthier anyway to call these people jerks. Also as this meme points out "male socialized" is used by people against trans women to signal that they don't actually see them as women which if no one bigoted is using it makes it much easier to call out when it happens.

Yeah, everyone has their first pokemon game that they loved and every other game is so similar it falls off fast. At least for me the reason my first pokemon game is so beloved is because it was also one of the first video games I ever played front-to-back.
Pokemon also has the rare distinction that (at least for kids) the world and aesthetics carry some of the worst mechanics on their backs allowing you to finish it.
I've always somewhat agreed. I've played elden ring and some DS 3. I think the world design is very fun, and most fights individually can be fun. But at the end of the day every boss fight is a janky rhythm game that gets longer and longer.
I see the appeal, but the most I do like once a month is jump in Elden Ring for an hour or two where I bumble around exploring or upgrading my stuff, find a boss fight, and just learn the funny Osu!-like pattern to beat it. It never leaves me mesmerized or champing at the bit for more like I've seen some of my friends get obsessed with it.
Idk but if we don't figure it out someone's going to pay for it. Technology allows us to make way too much excess wealth for these kinds of questions to be serious.
