It came from a BBS when the internet was basically only for colleges. I haven't seen it anywhere else either so it's entirely possible I have the only remaining copy.. well, had now that it's shared.
Remember, if you are afraid and your rationality is corrupted by panic you might fall for fairy tales.
This saying tells more about religion than it does about atheists.
