Instead of the prisoners randomly getting zapped, there is a Tesla coil on the top of the tower that powers the cells rotation. If you fuck up the rhythm the Tesla coil zaps a row of cells instead, and kills the prisoners until guards bring new ones in. (Refillable health). Zap all the cells before they refill with prisoners and it's game over.
This reminds me of a comic I drew during the Bush years about a "noise-ician" who had previously worked at DARPA developing sound-based-weaponry. I'd like to see his Panopticon set.

Fuck it, make the tower and disc stationary, spin the building and record/cd player around the disc.
I don't know how DJ shit works, isn't everything digital now? Are there just 'turntables' with a spinning circle that you fuck with?

The prisoners themselves are the tune. They would be electricuted if they go out of tune. This is recorded for all the viewers to see.
