Target sucks anyway. Even if they doubled their diversity goals, I still wouldn't shop at that shithole.

"Many years of data, insights, listening and learning have been shaping this next chapter in our strategy,” she said in the memo. “And as a retailer that serves millions of consumers every day, we understand the importance of staying in step with the evolving external landscape, now and in the future – all in service of driving Target’s growth and winning together.”

Read: "we're just a bunch of unprincipled greedy fucks who will chase whatever direction the wind blows a dollar bill in and right now it looks like we can make more money off the MAGAs than sane people" (AN: and they're right)

Target straying from their customer base more and more. Current CEO seems to want it to be Walmart.

their whole selling point is that it isn't walmart. it's 'better' (subjective, yea. but it's mostly true).

if they turn into just a different color walmart, it's game over. there's room for only one walmart, and target will never be 'it'. hell, walmart might not even be the last one standing.

Does anyone believe these companies actually cared about the diversity rules instead of just doing it for money? Lol
