That's only 7, not nearly enough radiation exposure.

What? Ukraine is a pretty large country, living in it doesn't mean you're some nuclear monster now

Edit whoops I missed the actual joke

Skipcast@lemmy.world · 21 pts · 1y (2 replies)

(it's a joke about 8 fingers on one hand)

Vinny_93@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 1y (1 reply)

Oh I completely read over that part

Skipcast@lemmy.world · 7 pts · 1y

Same the first time I read it lmao

Are you familiar with the concept of humour?

Vinny_93@lemmy.world · 17 pts · 1y

Yeah I missed the one hand bit because I overestimated how awake I was

You can count to 12 on one hand if you point your thumb to the bones on your other four fingers.

MrScottyTay@sh.itjust.works · 9 pts · 1y (3 replies)

24 if you first do it with the knuckle of your thumb and switch to the tip after you've done every finger bone

JustAnotherKay@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 1y

Twice as many if you do it twice

Brother I can count to 100 on one hand if I keep switching the counting apparatus, but the point is that there are 12 distinct sections on the fingers.

Bonus points: this is part of the reason there was once a debate about swapping to base 12 instead of 10

32 if you point your thumb knuckle/tip at each finger joint/tip

Arbitrarily high if you write the number on your palm

SuDmit@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 7 pts · 1y

Up to 31 in binary (1023 on both hands), but one may say it isn't very handy.

RandomVideos@programming.dev · 6 pts · 1y (1 reply)

You can count up to 242 on one hand if you are good enough and know base 3

1023 if you can count in base 4

Oh my god a mutant and a nerd!

nsrxn@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 3 pts · 1y

Have the wild animals living near Chernobyl/Pripyat actually mutates or is it a joke?
