JD Vance:

atomicbocks@sh.itjust.works · 23 pts · 1y (3 replies)

I don’t know… I am starting to think that’s the plan. That way they have somebody divorced from the situation waiting on the bench when shit finally hits the fan.

zalgotext@sh.itjust.works · 31 pts · 1y

Eh, Vance being invisible so far is just usually how it is for VPs. I think people forget that the role of the VP is basically just two things:

  1. Break ties in the Senate
  2. Remain alive so they can take over if the president dies
Microw@lemm.ee · 9 pts · 1y (1 reply)

Vance is there on Thiel's behalf. That is probably literally the only reason why he was picked as VP. They dont need him to work or to actually do anything.

N0body@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 5 pts · 1y

Exactly. Vance is a Manchurian candidate for the fascists in Silicon Valley. He’s there to take over if need be or to run after Trump’s term is over. I doubt he has any actual agency.

Who?

maximilian@lemmy.ml · 62 pts · 1y (1 reply)

Not a shitpost. Just the truth

TachyonTele@lemm.ee · 18 pts · 1y

Sometimes you gotta throw in a factpost to spice things up.

tomkatt@lemmy.world · 52 pts · 1y

Reported. This community is for shitposts, not real facts.

The kid is going to be nicknamed kevlar when he's older.

Why is Musk's bullet shield ranked above Trump?

thisbenzingring@lemmy.sdf.org · 40 pts · 1y

he's has a bigger vocabulary

samus12345@lemm.ee · 22 pts · 1y (2 replies)

He's smarter.

bitchkat@lemmy.world · 10 pts · 1y

Because he told Trump to "ssssh"

SpraynardKruger@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 1y

A "high IQ individual" is the term Trump used. Of course, it doesn't take much more than the intellect of a 4 year old to impress him.

Holy shit I hadn't seen any of this, been under a rock for a week. Thank you!

I think some of it has been actively suppressed in the USA

Prince of America

Empricorn@feddit.nl · 4 pts · 1y

He doesn't shit his pants.

cm0002@lemmy.world · 20 pts · 1y (5 replies)

I'm quite...conflicted...on the use of children that young in political stuff. With Drumps children at least they're older and able to be cognizant of their parents mental state and beliefs

But Muskytina's is what 4? 5? Ehhh idk, reluctantly upvoted

grue@lemmy.world · 21 pts · 1y

It's worse than that. Musk saw what happened to that other CEO and is using the kid as a human shield.

HenriVolney@sh.itjust.works · 11 pts · 1y (3 replies)

Musk is the one who brought the kid into the equation, it's fair game.

cm0002@lemmy.world · 11 pts · 1y (2 replies)

That's kinda my point though, a teenager can recognize situations for what they are and take defiant steps if needed.

Like a teen is going to recognize a photo op as a photo op and will be able to either decide to participate or be defiant and not

A 5 year old isn't going to go "My dad's a Nazi, fuck his photo op I'm not going to the White House" he's going to go "Oh me and my dad are going to a house that's white! Cool oh there's people here fun! They're taking pictures too!"

HenriVolney@sh.itjust.works · 9 pts · 1y (1 reply)

Yeah, he gets to hate his dad later, like all his siblings

Jax@sh.itjust.works · 3 pts · 1y

Unless he dies, as human shields tend to do - which I believe is the point.

ininewcrow@lemmy.ca · 10 pts · 1y

Weakest link of the chain is at the bottom

fakeman_pretendname@feddit.uk · 10 pts · 1y

Surely the child has a toy bear or glove puppet that outranks Trump in the chain of command?

shaserlark@sh.itjust.works · 8 pts · 1y

It’s like people completely forgot about the secret influence that Hasbulla has. They don’t want you to know. But it’s Hasbulla who Putin reports to, Hasbulla is calling the shots.

A_A@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 1y

i would rather vote for the guy in the tan colored suit.

Rip Mike Pence

next time you hear the Pink Floyd song Mother from The Wall. Remember that Pence calls his partner in life, Mother.

X the 24th isn't there in any command capacity.

He's just there to provide ballistic variance.

Yes, Putin's in charge, with his one hundred million dollars (sarcasm, not exact figure) and zero sway over the entire Western economic establishment.

According to....that woman with a book about his wealth? Article says 70 to 200 btw, not 200. Sources elsewhere guess much lower (tens of billions).

US GDP is 27.72 trillion. That's the movement of money annually.

realitista@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 1y

Alexey Navalny uncovered a lot of it.
