I work with a guy that fits this description as well. Man bun goes to the gym regularly mountain bikes, rock climbs lives the van life yet is a full on Nazi fascist racist sexist homophobic xenophobic, but also enjoys wearing retro rock band T-shirts and smoking offbrand cigarettes.
I think it's the same concept for second generation migrants where they're not at the bottom of the hierarchy but still low down. Insecurity with the ability to look down

I think it’s just me most of his friends and family members are exactly like him. Even his girlfriend is perfectly OK with being treated badly by him.
