As bad as the Russell Sakhir first debut, I think!

Damnit just turning in now and seems like I missed it.

It was raining too much and Ferrari sent out Lewis and Charles on inters. Charles ended up in the wall and had to park it.
DV8@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 1y
Oof, will be double painful if inters turn out to be the correct choice in the end still.

I had just finished watching the f1a quali replay, tuned in to the pre sprint to see if the weather was still bad, and that was the first thing I saw πππ

Was hoping he'd be able to somehow bring it back to the grid for Ferrari to do a 2020 Hungary like how Red Bull did with Verstappen's car.

What an absolute shit show
Coelacanth@feddit.nu · 13 pts · 1y
Very strange that Verstappen didn't get a penalty there. He was clearly quite a bit in front of the box no?
Worx@lemmynsfw.com · 15 pts · 1y
His pit crew also thought it was unfair, so they gave him a 10second penalty to make up for it
Coelacanth@feddit.nu · 6 pts · 1y
I'm glad it didn't end up mattering but there is no way you should get away with having what looked like almost an entire wheel in front of the line.
EDIT: Just saw another angle and it looked much less bad, I think he's actually juust inside the box.

Oh Redbull

Antonelli was pretty good in the wet last time, let's see how he does
Coelacanth@feddit.nu · 7 pts · 1y
He was a bit of a wet weather bandit in junior categories. Had a race in FRECA I think it was where he completely destroyed the whole field, Verstappen level dominance. Interested to see if he'll carry that form into F1.

Most entertaining sprint that I remember, absolute chaos. It fucked me up quite badly in my Fantasy team, tho.

So many people getting ripped off by ticketmaster!
hsr@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 6 pts · 1y
Red Bull have demonstrated why I'm not a fan of increasing the pit speed limit. Antonelli was aware enough to bail, but he got blocked in such a way he almost hit the pit crew.
Another sloppy overtake attempt from Lawson, he's not really making any progress there, is he?
Bearman just got a +5s for unsafe release, so Yuki is P8, potentially P7 if Lawson gets a penalty.
Edit: +5s for Lawson, currently at 6 penalty points. +5s for Albon for exceeding SC delta. My fantasy team got so rekt π

This track is awful in all conditions.
Worx@lemmynsfw.com · 3 pts · 1y
Finally a good tactical call from Ferrari. Hamilton would've been second without that safety car finish I think

Madness throughout.

Visibility seems awful. Geez.
