House Republicans Have Passed a Bill to Gut the IRA. In the end, none of the House Republicans who had voiced concerns about ending energy tax credits were willing to go against party leadership.

Almost as if they were all a bunch of spineless cowards.

If you live in one of their states you better be calling them 10x a day this month telling them they are gonna be fired and homeless if they pass this bullshit bill.

Before the vote, I spoke with David Spence, a professor at the University of Texas at Austin, to try to get a sense of the factors that were most likely to influence each member.

“They’re feeling pressure to go along with whatever Trump wants and whatever the leadership wants,” he said.
