If they have to label it "100% real cheese," what does that say about what’s normally in there? Not exactly building consumer trust here.

I'm going to start my own pizza brand and label it "now with no asbestos!".

dependencyinjection@discuss.tchncs.de · 8 pts · 1y

I’d buy that, all the others must have asbestos otherwise they’d say they don’t right.

New improved recipe without asbestos!

(may contain used needles and metal fillings)

Real Cheese is akin to Genuine Leather

turtlesareneat@discuss.online · 5 pts · 1y (1 reply)

"made with real cheese" so it can be 1% real cheese and 99% petrochemicals and the line works.

original_reader@lemm.ee · 1 pts · 1y

True. That makes things even worse!

kami@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 3 pts · 1y (1 reply)

It's a four cheese though... Which one is the real one?

JasonDJ@lemmy.zip · 2 pts · 1y

What you're expecting 400% real cheese? This ain't Whole Foods man.

bhagdatfa@lemm.ee · 2 pts · 1y

I bought some chocolate covered raisins but i found out theyre actually "chocolate flavored covered raisins"

FlexibleToast@lemmy.world · 21 pts · 1y (3 replies)

I like Cheez-Its enough that I would try it. I'm positive I won't like it, but I would give it a go.

Tenkard@lemmy.ml · 2 pts · 1y

Four cheese is actually a real Italian pizza, as opposed to ragù pizza

deegeese@sopuli.xyz · 1 pts · 1y (1 reply)

Pizza is supposed to taste like mozzarella but CheezeIts tastes like cheddar.

I like CheezeIts but I don’t think I want cheddar pizza.

FlexibleToast@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 1y

I fully expect it will taste awful. I don't like cheddar on pizza. But I would still give it a try.

Side note, the cheese doesn't have to be mozzarella. My favorite style of pizza is Detroit and that uses brick. Goat cheese on pizza is fantastic too.

Every day we stray further from the grace of god

Kolanaki@pawb.social · 10 pts · 1y

I like me a thin, cracker-crispy crust but using a literal cracker as the crust I don't think would offer the same experience.

Proprietary_Blend@lemmy.world · 7 pts · 1y

I cooka da meatball?

DragonTypeWyvern@midwest.social · 3 pts · 1y

I can't say I expected this to be the thing that radicalized me further today but it is what it is

random_character_a@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 1y (5 replies)

Isn't ragù just another name for bolognese?

Confusing product is confusing.

Merva@sh.itjust.works · 7 pts · 1y

Ragu just means a meat sauce. Bolognese would be ragu alla bolognese, but there are other ragus which aren't bolognese.

MacNCheezus@lemmy.today · 4 pts · 1y (3 replies)

Yes but this is Ragú, which is a US brand of Italian grocery products primarily known for making pasta sauce (in fact I didn’t even know they also made pizza).

YerbaYerba@lemm.ee · 2 pts · 1y (2 replies)

Funny enough, the parent company Mizkan is a Japanese corporation.

MacNCheezus@lemmy.today · 3 pts · 1y

Apparently they also own Bertolli.

JasonDJ@lemmy.zip · 2 pts · 1y

So I shouldn't feel bad about putting ragu on ramen?

Aeri@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 1y

Confession time I want to try the Cheez-It one although mostly out of morbid curiosity and I probably wouldn't like it

JasonDJ@lemmy.zip · 1 pts · 1y

Shitty cheap cheese pizza is best pizza.

Idk what it is...maybe nostalgia.
