Looks just like my cat! Is he also somewhat smaller than a standard issue cat? I've always wondered what breed she has some influence from because her face and body don't match usual domestic shorthair type. But I'll sometimes see a gray and silver cat that looks just like her.
My boy chester looks like this too. He is a mix of a white male and a female maine coon pattern but not actual maine coon. Theyre like pseudo Russian blues.
I've suspected that too in the past but the have much rounder faces! And imo coloring is a bit different. The closest I could find as far as fancy breeds is korat. Identical to my cat even had the same type of meow, but they are rare outside of Thailand and not a popular breed so it would be really surprising if a stray cat gave birth to one lol.
Yeah those do look like our cats. It must just be a recessive or even dominant pattern genotype or something. His mom had that m on the forehead and the striped brown, black and even a little white in the coat like a maine coon but his dad was definitely a white cat in the neighborhood but he came out all grey with yellow/orange eyes and a solid grey/silver coat. So handsome.
