Pretty sure these are eggs... But what creatures will emerge?

Green shield bug I believe.

I think you're right!

These look just like them, and i'm pretty sure the luna moth eggs on the top voted comment are actually green shield bugs eggs too.

Thanks!

Egg color… round, oval? Are these colors only moths can see?

You're right, someone h*cked up there. Good to know Monarchs have cream-shaped eggs though?

Yeah I'm starting to believe this chart may not be trustworthy...

I googled Luna moth eggs and it seems theyre more of a brownish shape (🤭).

It's getting real annoying having to sift through the bullcrap in search results...

Ugh. Sorry. Deleted my comment. I shouldn't have trusted the first result. :((

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9jQ5C0PIeQ (the Latin name of the bug in the video description appears to be wrong, it's "pelomena" not "pentatoma".)

Wow that looks spot on! And they're about 1mm in diameter.

Never seen those moths though...

fitjazz@lemmynsfw.com · 5 pts · 1y (1 reply)

I'm pretty sure they are either slug or snail eggs.

MacAnus@sh.itjust.works · 2 pts · 1y
