The text says the tax is on “incomes over $25M”. There’s no need to be pedantic about it especially when the headline reads “Millionaire Class” which wouldn’t reasonably be associated with a pensioner with a couple million in a retirement account.

If you read the article, It’s has nothing to do with motorways which the Romans didn’t build and require steel reinforced concrete, anyway. And, you’ll learn that the Roman concrete is not stronger than modern concrete, only more durable.

Its actually interesting. If you’re done snarking, it’s worth a read.

Plus addressing is a standard feature of email. It allows you to add arbitrary text after the user name. This can be useful in a variety of ways like sorting or identifying the source of the email. I use it sometimes when I sign up for a random service. It’ll let me know they shared my email with a third party if I get emails from other sources with the same +text. Only works for that if they are too lazy to strip the +text, though.

It’s perfectly normal and you do it, too. Different people focus on different things. Nobody has the bandwidth to educate themselves about everything.

Ideally, we would trust people who focus on a topic, aka experts, so we could focus on our own interests. In reality, we just accept the easiest path for things we don’t have the time to focus on—that could be tech, fashion, food, sport, etc.

The problem is that people with a selfish profit motive have too much control over things that people want.
