Steam Sale is in full swing. Any souls-like recs?

I don't have many bombshells myself, unfortunately. Mostly just oldies and things I've been waiting on.

Hollow Knight is good for any price, but for $7.50 is a steal. Absolutely stellar game.

Another Crab's Treasure is an...interesting one. I haven't finished it, but it had fairly good combat, imo, and a very different atmosphere to the grimdark horrors we usually find in souls-likes. I do recall the leveling felt a bit lackluster, but maybe that was just me.

Nine Souls and TUNIC are two I've been considering for a little while now. I think I'll nab Tunic and wait on Nine Souls a little longer, personally. Death's Door also caught my eye at $5. Might be a good snag.

How about y'all? Any must haves with good deals this sale?

Tunic is amazing. I wouldn't say souls-like necessarily, more old school Zelda. Though the final boss is nails and very souls.

A lot of good games here, but I came to say don’t sleep on Nine Sols. Excellent vibe, stellar combat, extremely challenging. I absolutely loved it.

20€ worth it?

It all depends on your economic situation, and how much you enjoy that kind of game, but I think I paid full price for it with no regrets.

Well, I've platinumed Sekiro and I enjoyed Hollow Knight a lot - I understand it's kind of a mix between the two? So I'd assume I'd like that style of game. The price is something else, of course

Tunic and Death's Door are both great. DD won't get as much praise, but it's absolutely worth it for $5.

Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree is 25% off. I held off on it on release but it's apparently much better now after the patches. It's a Metroidvania Soulslike, and the skill tree is clearly inspired by Path of Exile. I just started playing it yesterday but I'm really liking what I'm seeing so far.

Is there a fully co-op souls-like worth playing? (Aside from Nightreign)

Hellpoint

Ashen is quite good.

Maybe Lords of the Fallen?

I'll pin your post for a while so people visiting the community who have not heard of the sales know to pick something up :)

I'm enjoying Nine Sols a lot! The parry system is really really satisfying :3

30€ is quite steep for Lies of P but still worth it, I'd wager. Objectively speaking, 30€ is still a lot of money, though, so I get that. They probably didn't want to discount the game too much since the DLC just dropped.

Thymesia might be worth it!

I feel you. My spending on video games has also gone down in the past couple years and it's for the better. I remember preordering games so often back when I worked at GameStop, only to sell the game off because I didn't play it at all.

If you have a jailbroken PS4, you could get the game there too - that's how I first played the game
