Of course. We have been with Octopus for a while now for our energy and went with them for solar because of good offers and finance deals. The price dropped quite a lot in the year or so we were looking.
In March this year we got 10 panels a 10kW battery and a 5kW inverter for a little over £9k. We also picked a finance deal which worked out about £300 a month so it was affordable for us, that's not including the electric buy back or the fact we don't have an electric bill currently so it's actually cheaper.
For comparison we looked about 8 months before and they had 10 panels a 5kW battery and a smaller inverter for £13k admittedly on an interest free finance deal, our current one is not interest free. So the prices keep coming down.
I've been lucky enough to be able to get a rooftop solar set up and battery for my house. I absolutely love it. We've barely used the grid since it's gone up, only our electric shower draws too much for the inverter/ battery to provide it all, everything else runs off solar. It's been especially good in the UK recently with the weather because it means I can run my (also recently purchased) portable aircon without feeling guilty.
Makes me feel happy every time the sun is shining.
I keep thinking about getting a ground rod installed so I can run totally off grid.
We're trying to eat less meat and having at least a couple meals per week with veggies or fish as the main. We've reduced how much landfill waste we produce and are recycling more.
Just another chipping in on the Eufy solar. I've been pretty impressed so far with a few minor niggles.
Generally it works well, connects nicely to the repeater and rings ok. Solar works great no issues with battery power on our south facing front.
The main selling point for me was no subscription or remote server connection.
It's annoying if it loses connection to the WiFi. I've actually turned the security mode (which makes it scream if taken off the wall without turning that off first in the app).
I've been playing space haven. It's Rimworld in space with some more story. The basics are a little more complex but at least on normal difficulty staying stable seems easier once you're established, it doesn't have quite as much depth I don't think. I'm really enjoying it. Good cool music. Fun boarding mechanics. Great little game.
Drowning in a small space like underwater caving.
I'm a bit catastrophic (claustrophobic). Normally no issues with water but the thought of being trapped somewhere small and watching it full up with water terrifies me.
Safe to say I am never going caving or swimming in caves.
Oh and the apparently inexorable march towards fascism in the UK and the west is pretty bad too.
Is the twist that they are actually in hell? Cuz I guessed that about halfway through the first episode when every single character was an insufferable ass. Which coincidentally is also why I stopped watching. Very American humour I think, it felt similar to Parks and Rec, another one which everyone seems to love that I bounced off hard.
I got to have medicinal pizza this week because of the ridiculous heat. By Friday I woke up feeling a little shaky and wobbly. Eventually I worked out I was probably salt deficient given all the sweating I'd done this week so pizza was had and I felt much better afterwards, I didn't even wake up feeling thirsty so I definitely needed the salt.
Not something I've ever really had to worry about before now.
This weekend has been really good, especially today with the cooler weather. Good dog walks early morning and plenty of video games.
Masturbation is normal, natural and healthy (reduces the risk of prostate cancer in men). Unless it isn't, it's not healthy when it is an addiction and masturbation is getting in the way of life. If you're not seeing friends or missing work or school because you'd rather watch porn and jerk off then that's a problem. A therapist would be the best person to talk to about that if you do have an addiction.
If you're just masturbating a few times a week then carry on, enjoy yourself and don't feel guilty.
I recommend the Leasureguys guide to gourmet shaving,, it's a real deep dive into shaving with a safety razor.
I'd recommend getting yourself a blade trial pack, a few places on the net do them, and try out a selection of blades to see what your preference turns out to. Different combos of blade and razor, skin and hair types will have quite different results
For wet shaving I do 3 passes for a really close shave, with the grain, across and finally against.
If I'm short on time I only do the first two and it's presentable.
I just rinse my blade after but I only typically keep a blade for 4 or 5 shaves.
I'd recommend getting a good quality brush and an alum block for after, it will help you improve your technique too as the stingy bits are more irritated so you can focus on that for next time.
This is a great idea. Cover the car parks with things to charge the cars and remove traffic from a town center.
And party on dudes.
I can touch type pretty well. Dyslexia not withstanding. I learned during the MSN messenger years.
I can also blind swipe text on my phone with not totally atrocious accuracy. Still need to proof read them before sending though.
What system is that? That's a lot of d10s.
Gotta love the shiny click clack rocks. Such an easy rabbit hole to fall into.

You need the algae food paste thing until you can pick up another crew member or train someone up on the learning station.

The automation in this one is pretty good. I think the pawns are maybe a bit smarter than Rimworld so you don't need to manually direct them as often.
Having a bit of a story mode also helps as you've usually got a mission objective you can come back to.
I'm like 20 hours in now and still very much enjoying myself.

Portal 2 is so good. The co-op is amazing as well.
Thanks, damn autocorrect.

Seconding this with caveats.

Welcome to the super cheap shaving club!

I'm basically only on windows these days because I have a windows mixed reality vr headset and I don't know how well that would play with Linux.
Those exist, look up intubation and ventilation.
