If the image was actually a 7zip file with personal data from politicians, I have to ask: what the hell where you expecting while posting it on a meme community? It's not a meme, it's not funny and depending on the laws might be a crime. Even if it's not, it's completely out of place in a meme community and can generate a lot of trouble to the admins.

You did this to yourself mate.

Of course, this applies only if the image was an actual file containing what you said, otherwise it's a power tripping bastard alright.

Oh sorry, I didn't know this was .world. I guess we should also make sure not to bad mouth Zionism as that's antisemitic and may cause headaches. Better delete the piracy comms, they're also legal headaches.

If it doesn't fit community, then why I got 86 upvotes and only 1 downvote?

Also, being queer is also illegal in some countries. Does that mean queer content should be banned as well?

If you argue against that, I assume you want to post CSAM.

Lol

Is it illegal in the country where the instance is hosted? High doubt, so pointless to compare.

Also: do you even know the difference between posting a meme and doxxing people?

I'm from a country, where a meme could easily lead to jail, so no.

Why did you include an IP logger in your bio?

I wanted to show and see myself, how easy it is. Even without hiding, it took more than two months for someone to notice.

So, it's okay to permanently ban for an off-topic post?

db0@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 11 pts · 1y

Up to the mod really, but I wouldn't call that merely off topic

JonsJava@lemmy.world · 16 pts · 1y

Too many times, I expect my moderation to end up here. Many times, I wonder if I was wrong.

I'm not regarding this.

Honestly you're lucky that you weren't instance banned.
