K. I still ain’t buying shit from EA. I don’t really care that the cancer has stopped spreading momentarily.

Their games aren't worth pirating.

I stopped for years so imagine my surprise when I was seeing their games for free/extremely discounted (like $2-4) on Steam.

Still didn't buy them.

Also Ubisoft.

yup. I refuse to buy games 95% off in the $5 bin. I instantly assume the game is made by some garbage trash company that doesn't care. I'd rather pay $30 knowing the developer isn't shit

I wonder what this means for the $100 GTA6 rumors. Nintendo seems to be getting away with the $80 price but MS and EA both backing down is a good sign.

It means if GTA6 launches with a $100 price tag and still sells boat loads, everyone else saying they aren't even going to $80 will suddenly suffer amnesia.

I waited 5 years for cyberpunk to go on sale for a low enough price before I bought it, I would probably do the same with gta6. If it's priced too high. I will just wait a few years until it isn't.

We'll be waiting a year just for the PC release. I honestly don't mind. Playing a fully patched game is generally worth waiting for as well.

Yar Har.. a pirates life for me

I legitimately don't understand why people pay these prices. If no one buys, prices drop. Impatient rich people poisoning the well

scutiger@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 1y

People are voting with their wallets, and so far they're ok with paying $80 for a game.
