No problem, it probably pulled one of the alternate titles. I've noticed that a lot when I see an article in Google News, it will have one title then when I go to the article it's a different title
my understanding is that BG3 is more similar to Larian's earlier games, Divinity: Original Sin 1 and 2 (which, full disclosure, I'm a big fan of). so if you want an inexpensive PC game that's likely to have a similar feel, mechanically, those games have been around a long time and are still well worth playing (if you ask me).
I’ll keep that in mind when I get back to pc gaming. It’s been such a very very long time since I played on pc, probs… 2010 or so (I stopped gaming at all for a long time, got back to it a few years ago, and took a deep dive back in the last year or so - reclamation of self 😀)
Haven’t gotten back into pc, I’ve always collected console games, because those are pretty plug and play, and as long as I maintain some very old single-purpose computers, they run flawlessly every time.
But because of major system failures, my OS has changed a few times recently, and that makes it a bit harder to maintain games. Probs need to get a single use machine with dual boot for it. And some serious old school emulators too run my win 98 games… 😁
that reminds me, I failed to mention that I played both Divinity games on console. they work perfectly well (even if inventory management is a bit of a bummer) on console
I’m not, I made that mistake already. I really liked the dark alliance games on console.
I have the first 2 baldurs gate games on console also, ps4 specifically, because I thought they were the dark alliance games :) I was disappointed. They don’t play well on console.
They're actually not that bad on console, beamdog did a really good job translating the controls over but you can only do so much before things get lost in translation for a game of that age.

Seems like an easy mix up considering they both came out at practically the same time relative to now...

Yeah, something went wrong with the way Sync autogenerated it. I'll fix it

I mean the first I ever heard of it was about a bear sex scene. That’s decent marketing. Makes me low-key want to try it.
I need to try the series on pc, I don’t like 1/2 on console at all.

If you're thinking of the dark alliance games, BG3 isn't related to those at all. It's the spiritual successor to Baldurs Gate II: Shadows of Amn which was only ever released on PC. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baldur%27s_Gate_II:_Shadows_of_Amn.

Huh, TIL something new. I had no idea those had made there way too console, and yeah, I imagine they'd play terribly on a console.

Yeah, I want to like them but I would hate Diablo 2 or StarCraft on console as point and clicks, too 😂
I’ll give them a go on pc tho, the story and gameplay seem great, just not for console :)
