Wrap it in a corn batter and deep fry that sucker, and youve got a delicious pickled corndog.

Eh, worth a try once. They had them at the Stampede one year.

Aralakh@lemmy.ca · 2 pts · 334d

The ube corn dogs slapped this past year.

This unironically looks amazing.

Probably not what you'd want as a regular staple of one's diet, but damn I gotta either find or make me one o these.

Rivalarrival@lemmy.today · 2 pts · 333d

That is the best thing I've seen all week. Want.

RaivoKulli@sopuli.xyz · 2 pts · 333d

vaultdweller013@sh.itjust.works · 1 pts · 333d

Am I the only one who thinks this looks like street food from Poland?

cupcakezealot@piefed.blahaj.zone · 18 pts · 334d

DarkCloud@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 334d

These would be good in a bun... A turdickle.

latenightnoir@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 5 pts · 334d (21 replies)

...I mean...

Edit: depends if that white stuff is some sort of cream cheese or not.

grte@lemmy.ca · 15 pts · 334d (20 replies)

That's definitely mayo.

latenightnoir@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 4 pts · 334d (19 replies)

Then it's a "no" from me. Acid meat, nothx.

I’ve never had it, I just learned about it from a stand up comic short. I love caramelized onions and I think they pair well with cream cheese, but that combo along side relish and mustard… I can’t imagine how that works.

latenightnoir@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 2 pts · 334d (12 replies)

Oh, nonono, not on a proper hot dog! Ketchup and mustard, always, I meant in this particular scenario - if that white stuff is mayo, then the contraption's too acidic. Cream cheese would offer a bit of base.

Hossenfeffer@feddit.uk · 4 pts · 334d (8 replies)

Pfft. Ketchup? What are you, five?

Heeey, what's wrong with ketchup?🥺

Hossenfeffer@feddit.uk · 0 pts · 334d

Nothing… if you’re five.

I initially interpreted the lot as a "would," not a "could," and I thought it sounds good, but very heavy:))

I agree with the lot, but... not all at once:))) And, yeah, ketchup and mustard are my main go-tos. Ketchup and mayo when things are... eggy, I guess.

Rivalarrival@lemmy.today · 1 pts · 333d

To each their own, but I'm with the other guy on the ketchup thing.

Unless they've got Tabasco sauce. Drown the ketchup in Tabasco, and it's good on fries.

But never on a hot dog.

Drusas@fedia.io · 1 pts · 333d (1 reply)

Cream cheese on a hot dog is delicious.
