If you still outwardly presented as female and the guy you kissed considered you female, then no it was not gay. Changing gender IMO does not modify interactions had before the change.
Realistically it doesn't matter and you can kiss whoever the fuck you wanna
Happened to me! First love transitioned away from being a girl. To me I remember the girl I fell in love with. He's a dude now, can't take that away but he can't take away from me my memories.
I had a friend who's two years my junior. One day I addressed them as "young lady," and in response I joked "you're two years younger, even if we're in an elder home, you'll still be 'young lady' at that time."
Then they transitioned, she's now a he, so that "young lady" thing will no longer work 😅

It was gay for you and straight for him. You could say it was kinky.
ianfraserkrillmaster@midwest.social · 25 pts · 329d
yes he is gay now he must register with the bureau of homosexual affairs and receive his blue hat
(sarcasm- everybody knows the hats are actually periwinkle which is closer to purple)

Lucky_777@lemmy.world · 16 pts · 329d
You can kiss a guy and not be "gay". You just kissed a male. You can still exclusively like females. Maybe you just wanted a taste?

If you want to then yes, if you dont want to then no.
At least thats the way of thinking I chose for myself. I chose no for myself, but you pick what feels right for you.

See, this is the kinda shit trans people have to go through. They suffer enough.

On a morbid note, if the first person you kiss dies at some later point, does that make you a necrophiliac? Same answer to both questions.

Time, place, and status therein are what makes it. Were you a man or woman at the time? Who did you kiss in that time and place?
classybattery@sh.itjust.works · 5 pts · 329d
ah, makes a lot of sense. i was a girl who kissed a boy.

In the show, Larry David dated someone who later transitioned to a man

OK that was real funny. I've yet to be confronted by my ex so now I have a script

Kuma@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 329d
Depends on what kind of kiss it was, did you kiss because of romantic interest? If yes then yeah that was gay.
Would be funny if kissing someone who tricked you into being the opposite gender (you could even be blindfolded) made you gay haha
