In The Prehistory of the Far Side, Gary Larson talks about how some people thought this cartoon was insulting to Dr Goodall. When he actually heard from her, she told him she thought it was really funny. In fact, she licensed the cartoon to put it on t-shirts for the Jane Goodall Institute.
Making it to 91 and leaving such a legacy of new science? Not bad. Not bad at all. We should all hope to make such an impact on this world, and for so long.
Or, he’s coming for the right people. Death isn’t always a punishment. It’s the reward; the end of the long haul we call life. I envy those who get to move on from this shithole.
lessee, there was a time before I existed, so that was non-existence, yeah? Seems pretty straightforward. In a universe where everything dies, even the stars, it’s pretty.. something.. to have the level of certitude you do.
If you haven’t already, and if a show like this might interest you, you should watch Supernatural. It is 15 seasons long, and I won’t spoil it for you, but let’s just say that song is a staple of the entire series. And aptly so.
And even if you don’t like that song, the show is worth it regardless.
No spoilers, but they do an entire episode as characters in Scooby Doo.
