Everyone should absolutely vote at a minimum, but only voting isn't going to get us out of this shit. It'll take mass protests, general strike, and [ Removed by Reddit ].
I've been saying this all over, but here's my predictions:
Send in ICE goons to prevent people from voting in many swing Democratic places. When the people start to protest and push back, NSPM-7 will have labeled them all "domestic terrorists" so they'll face huge prison terms, or just be shot on the spot "out of self defense" or some shit. As of Aug 12, 2026 they've recently said they'll do this.
Try to foment some terrorist attacks or stage some false flag attacks themselves at polling places or counting stations as a pretext to seize voting machines/ballots.
Work with Musk and Thiel to sabotage the systems themselves (much like Musk possibly did in 2024, I'm not saying that's a hard fact but there has been enough fuckery to do hand recounts). They've had access to the machines' operating systems since 2021, more than enough time to develop exploits. They have back doors all over the federal government now through DOGE. They have voter rolls from many states. They are dismantling election security agencies and policies.
Use the war (pick any war, maybe a new one by that point) to cancel elections all together and even though Democratic states will hold elections, Republican states will not, so he'll have SCOTUS rule it an incomplete election and therefore invalid or something
?????: Some other completely batshit insane thing that I'm not evil enough or too sober to come up with.
Yeah but that ball should be a bunch of billionaires and banking corporations, along with the API members. It's not the coal/oil/gas itself that's ultimately the problem, it's the people fucking over society for their own profit.
You do know that even if they don't achieve 100% of their vision (which let's be honest that'll never happen without a massive revolution and I don't see that happening anytime soon), there are about 20 steps before that point that all materially improve the lives of the working class right?
You're sharing the same propaganda as all the Russian/Iranian bots have for a decade trying to say "both sides are bad so why bother voting" which always favors the fascists. I think you know you are too.
So if both fund a genocide, though one funds way more genocides, and also is an open corrupt fascist, why would you not vote against that? Let's rebuild the system in the long term but in the short term don't vote for the open fascist.
Do you think the Democratic establishment supports the current system, or radical change? Only the challengers from their left are trying for radical change, and the establishment of both parties don't want that. It's really not that hard to understand, and you're sadly naive if you think they're trying their hardest but golly those Republicans just always win by 1 vote of a D that crossed the aisle, and it's always someone different who will be the most insulated from their constituents at that time.
Yeah I'm well aware of Rojava, Spain, and the Zapatistas. Think about the entire culture of the West, do you think anarchism would spread further than a few percent of the population?
Side note: if you're not already aware you'd probably like the Cool Zone Media podcast network (Behind the Bastards, Cool People Who Did Cool Stuff, It Could Happen Here, etc.)
Again, that sounds great in a random comment online, but take that line of thinking to ground.
What does that actually look like? It will inevitably be violent. Historically, based on every revolution or attempt at revolution, the end result is worse than the starting point. The most dangerous, violent, charismatic person makes it to the top and they become a dictator.
There's no mechanism to ensure we actually end up in the desired point. Too many variables that are unaccounted for, even in Halam's like 40-part lecture series. It all sounds great but it's not realistic.
For everyone one of him there are probably thousands of others waiting to replace him, sure. But at least it's one less. By the way I would much rather prefer he actually goes to prison for murdering 600K+ people through USAID cuts, plus a million other blatantly illegal things he's done. I think prison would be way more of a blow to his ego. I'm just saying there are people out there who are mentally unstable (like thomas crooke) that just want to try to solve the problem themselves.
I've been following Roger for a while, and I agree with most of what he's saying in theory. In spirit I'm a revolutionist, but in practice I'm probably more of a reformist. The scale of the change we need is so massive that there will never be a critical mass of people to make the changes needed. That just means that smaller groups will need to have bigger effects, and even though we're aiming for complete change, even if we only get 50% of the way there that's still much better than it is now.
How bout this? Let's do a general strike and test it out.
A general strike is the only thing that would actually work though

Scary times we're living in.
