The X-302 was the prototype that the F-302 is based on ("X" being a USAF designation for experimental aircraft). It appeared only once, in Reckoning, and was destroyed by an exploding stargate. F-302s only appeared later, once they mastered naquadria hyperdrives.

The X-301 was the retrofitted death glider, then they went straight to the F-302.
The X-303 was redesigned the BC-303, although there are some conflicting info whether they are called "BC" or "DSC" for the 304s

Yes, that's right. I don't think the f302s kept the hyperdrive feature though.

They did, but limited to very short hops. O'Neill and Carter once used it to bypass the shield around Anubis' mothership.
