trump can be removed under many many many different methods at this point.

The problem is that he controls the house and senate and his entire party is terrified of his dying words being a condemnation of whoever stuck their neck out AND avoided getting lynched.

They can't even answer simple questions of fact without pissing their pants. Just look at how they answer when asked if Biden won the 2020 election.... "He... Well... He was certified."

... Fucking cowards

But how? Even the courts are rigged in his favor.

"In yet another shadow docket ruling the SCOTUS voted 6-3 in favor of denying the action of invoking the 25th amendment. The 6 votes were cast stating: It's very very clear that the 25th amendment applies to everyone except Donald Trump."

you know, when a significant chunk of the population views the president as an actual divine ruler, it might be a bit difficult to get rid of the president in a nonviolent fashion..

The section in question:

Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.

No way Vance agrees to this. Sure, he'd be President, but MAGA outrage would strip him of power. Hell, if Trump dies in office, Vance is going to take the heat for Trump's decisions. Imagine if Vance forced Trump out.

nymnympseudonym@piefed.social · 2 pts · 343d

Careful. Vance is younger, more charismatic, and smarter than Trump.

No.

That would require bipartisanship.

SpaceCowboy@lemmy.ca · 2 pts · 343d (1 reply)

Not to mention the cabinet would have to invoke it.
