I think it might be River for me:
Whatever doesn't kill you may make you stronger but it also makes you weird and hard to relate to.

Sunny Rhodes, the singer. Because the intro still hits me in the soul.
I wish I could be Malcolm. A lot of people I know need someone who is willing to pilot a crisis, even when they're facing one.
I wish I could be Zoey. Utterly unflappable and totally unstoppable is a talent I could use right now.
I wish I was Wash. Having humor be only my second-best talent would be great right now.
I wish I was either of the Tam twins. Crazy or not, milquetoast bougie softie or not, a genius makes a difference when nothing else will.
It'd be good to be Jayne, sometimes. If I were the scariest one in the room, maybe the people around me would be less afraid of the other guy. But I'd rather be a good Jayne than an evil Jayne.
Being Inara, maybe I wouldn't envy it. But being able to stop a raging monster just by holding up one hand and speaking firmly is a badass superpower.
Kaylee would be a good person to be. Not innocent, but still good at heart. Not a genius, but brilliant in every way that people need. Someone who's seen the horrors, but hasn't stopped genuinely smiling.
Honestly? If I had to pick one person to be, out of all of them, I think I'd wanna be Shepherd.

@vlrny @LonelinessCorps I don't think I've ever seen Firefly. To be fair, I have a hard time sitting still, I haven't watched almost anything. The last time I was able to sit down for longer than an hour to watch something was Dark. Have you seen it? OMG. Sorry, got distracted...it's been a day and I think I've inhaled a lot of turpentine. ;)

@vlrny @LonelinessCorps Last time I saw it, I was very much Kaylee. A better engineer than people give her credit for, able to make do with absolute garbage. Gleeful and ridiculously excited by those things that bring her joy in good moments, but also quite lonely sometimes. Probably the most full of love of anyone on the ship, but you have to listen well to hear it.

I think I've lost my Kaylee-ness, it's a sad thing to note this watch.
I think at present I am most aligning w Mal - who'd rather be on the right side of a losing war than the wrong side of a winning one. And all the irreverent pugnacity that comes with that.
