Hausen is a no longer used word for nameing settlements. It can describe a multiple house village or a hamlet.
Houses is plural. The plural of Haus is Häuser.
Used as a verb "hausen" is a derogatory term for living in a chaotic dirty and unclean way.
I thought it was at least named after a Duck, like the McDuck family. But Rosaverse says the founder is called Cornelius Coot and he named it Duckburg for no particular reason.
Side note: Cornelius' beak looks much more like those of confirmed geese like Gladstone Gander, so I'm not even sure he's a duck at all.
Second side note: It's weird that Donald's family tree is filled with waterfowl of all different species, but no dogs (which seems to be 80% of Duckburg's population) or other species. Do they have egg groups like Pokemon?
I mean yeah, we have to. It's one thing to slip up against mighty Galatasaray, but if we don't beat YOUR lot, we're never going to hear the end of it! 😛
There are 2 rats per capita in Prague (I imagine other cities have a similar situation) and an uncountable population of smaller species. Of course, they're not equals like in Duckburg.
