What about this flag ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡ถ

abbiistabbii@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 38 pts · 338d (3 replies)

Either...

  1. I work in Antarctica or in an Antarctica related field.
  2. I don't identify with my nation state, I identify more with my constituent country, but my flag isn't available (me until the ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ emoji was officially introduced).
  3. Am penguin.

  1. Am penguin.

The new official unofficial Linux flag.

"Northern Oppression" is a very broad term for you

๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ = the worst person in the world

abbiistabbii@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 24 pts · 338d (1 reply)

Could be worse, could be ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง, which either means...

  1. I work for the British Government.
  2. I have views that make ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ look like an anarchist.
  3. I'm a northern Irish unionist who'll show you racism and bigotry you didn't even think was possible.
Natanox@discuss.tchncs.de · 7 pts · 338d

There's another, even more heinous thing it might indicate you often see as indicator even for whole websitesโ€ฆ

  1. I speak english

They may use ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฒ as an alternative, but that may indicate them being utterly lost.

I think the "what" one kind of means "I want peace for everyone"... Not everyone in Israel is evil and not everyone in Russia is evil. The actions of one country's government aren't representative of the beliefs of everyone in said country. Maybe the people using those emoji believe in a world where nations can coexist without bombing and attacking and villainizing each other. Maybe they're optimists.

But who knows? It's just emoji...

ChaoticNeutralCzech@feddit.org · 10 pts · 338d (2 replies)

"I want peace for everyone but neither Hamas nor Netanyahu" also has emoji: โ˜ช๏ธโœก๏ธ

Natanox@discuss.tchncs.de · 7 pts · 338d (1 reply)

Pretty sure peace in general already has dedicated symbolism. Like ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ or ๐Ÿ•.

ChaoticNeutralCzech@feddit.org · 3 pts · 338d

In the context of that war, of course. Also, these can be used separately, for example โœก๏ธ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ธ by a Jew in support of Palestinian statehood.

and this? ๐ŸŒ๐ŸŒŽ๐ŸŒ < ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ช

rustyfish@piefed.world · 2 pts · 338d

This is weirdly accurate.

I wonder how r/vexilologycirclejerk is doing these days.

Edit: the largest Lemmy equivalent hasn't seen activity in two years :/
