It's a miracle that my house hasn't been burglarized yet with how many times I've done that. Solved the problem by switching to door lock with a keypad.
wow this just happened to me too lol. I thought I lost my keys so I used the hidden outdoor key instead. and then I lost that key too. but lo and behold, my keys were in my jacket and the outdoor key was just buried in the dirt.

I was reacting to a comment where I interpreted that the person felt constrained by their adhd to not own very many items of outerwear.
