I thought I'd seen all of Matt Smith as The Doctor, I missed this episode.

This was the movie Caught Stealing. Pretty good flick if you can stomach a lot of violence.

Wow, Jane's Addiction must have been more popular than I thought

Yeah, and he did an awesome job with that character! I now want more punk roles from him.

BreadOven@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 318d

I will look it up. Thanks for the suggestion.

It's so jarring seeing that face with that hair...

fascicle@leminal.space · 5 pts · 318d (4 replies)

I don't know who he is but I can't imagine that face not having that hair

He played Doctor Who for a while but he was also Prince Philip in The Crown. Looking kinda rough these days.

sheogorath@lemmy.world · 14 pts · 318d (2 replies)

That's Matt Smith, an actor.

TigerAce@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 10 pts · 317d

No, he's Doctor Who but poses as an actor who poses to be a punker to protect the earth from aliens. Duh

Passerby6497@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 317d

Lol, my guess was Woody Harrelson

DerHaseWillSchmako@feddit.org · 2 pts · 317d (8 replies)

Don’t thank me, thank Darren Aronofsky for making a movie that’s (like he does) completely fucking insane, but actually has a relatable sense of humor to it.

And, unlike any other Darren Aronofsky film I’ve ever seen, this movie is a lot of fun. And, of course, it takes place in New York.

Edit: I don’t know if you’re a Darren Aronofsky fan, but this immediately became my favorite Darren Aronofsky film. All of this films are amazing, but they are usually somewhat traumatic to watch. I think Requiem for a Dream or Pi or mother!. Unlike those films, this movie was actually a lot of fun.

Perhaps I’m a little biased because the main character reminded me a lot of myself…

I think this would be my first movie from Darren Aronofsky. I'm looking forward to watching it!

Bon voyage, motherfucker! If you want some more recommendations, let me know!
