Honestly disappointed they're limiting it to BotW and TotK, again. I really liked HW1 as a celebration of the entire Zelda franchise, and wish a sequel expanded on that to represent an even wider variety of picks throughout the series, especially games that weren't represented in HW1.

I’m sure if they keep doing well they will go back to that model. They did already do a good amount of the popular characters though, so I am curious where they would pull from.

HW1 didn't include anyone from A Link to the Past, Oracle of Ages/Seasons, Four Swords, Minish Cap, Phantom Hourglass, or Spirit Tracks. So those would be a good place to start.

So I put together a list of the remaining ones from the popular games and the unused ones. Not many stand out to me.
Oot
Majora’s Mask
Wind Waker
Twilight Princess
Skyward Sword
ALBW
AttP
These I don’t remember as much
Minish Cap
Oracles
Phantom Hourglass
Spirit Tracks
Could be a cool idea to have a game where you cycle through versions of reincarnations. Maybe Twinrova shenanigans
but I think you’d be limited.

I'm ready for an entirely new Zelda game outside of BOTW/TOTK. I'd also kill to have NAVI! Asking for to much?

As someone whose first Nintendo console was Switch, I am looking forward to a modern Zelda game that's different from BoTW/ToTK!

Switch was a decent console. Been gaming since the 80s. Zelda usually changes art style, etc every 7-8 years. However BOTW has become the worldwide platform for other companies adopting open world, they're still making tons of money on it. I'm a forever fan, so like it is what it is, waiting for a new storyline. I just got really bored halfway through TOTK & had to wait a few months before finishing it. I personally don't enjoy building in Zelda, always loved the Eponia. The lore storyline was good though I just got bored of the landscape of Hyrule. I will forever pray to the Triforce Godess to bring back NAVI

I loved BoTW and ToTK, but I do want to see what they come up with next. Let's wait and see.

I played the first one for quite a bit but I don't know. I am so split on these games as they are not super interesting for me. Too much of the same kind of.
Maybe I should play the last one I bought some more...

they are really fun games if you like button mashers, its fun clearing out enemies and fighting the hard bosses.

its sad that nintendo wont go back to the old formula of zelda. botw and totk just feel like monster games and overwhelming vs the other zelda games and even though i beat both i didn't really enjoy them as much as past titles. i plan to get the online pass to get the old consoles so i can play the past zelda titles that i so much love

Meanwhile I'm here praying to the Triforce Godesses to bring back NAVI. Only thing I ask for!
