When you find a cure to nonviolence propaganda. Illinoisan are throughfully brainwashed that recording acts of violence will eventually pay off the fascist courts decisions in their favor. They utterly have no critical thinking to realize fascist only form of communication is through violence. They didn't prepare and arm their community as early as November of last year. So they are dealing with the consequences of being a self-interested capitalist state.
Until Broadview ICE Facility isn't demolished, I see no reason to fly over and help them liberate themselves. 22 freaking years.

What a crap take. Nearly 30% of adults in Illinois own a gun. So it's not about availability of guns, maybe normal people don't want to just go shooting officers and get themselves killed.

A FOID card is stupid easy to get. I haven't tried to get a CCL because Chicago doesn't allow them on public transit and quite frankly, I don't want to be a target if something were to happen.
No one is shooting back. Because no one wants to be the martyr, no one wants to be the first, most people really want to try and avoid bloodshed. You have a fascist paramilitary force that sees violence as a means to achieve their goals and the majority of the population who is trying to fight to keep people safe because their morals and ethics abhor violence. People are really trying to avoid kicking off martial law and the insurrection act. Because while most people wouldnt consider it insurrection, this administration is willing to twist anything as much as they can.
