Dispatch sells 1 million copies in 10 days

I've been enjoying Dispatch so far, and the sales numbers seem well deserved. I know a few people waiting for all the episodes to be outbefore they buy it, though (final episode is out Nov 12).

If you liked the telltale games you will like dispatch.

I'm told this is more of interactive fiction than an actual game, and while replayability is low, I don't tend to replay games so, who cares :)

It looks good and I like the premise, though I still have some superhero fatigue.

It has a little more gameplay than past telltale games with its dispatch sections (a bit of strategy, deciding which heroes go on what calls), but otherwise you are right, it's a fancy choose your own adventure game. They have done some interesting things with superhero tropes so far (e.g., superheroes working out of a corporate call center), but it's a bit early to tell if they'll subvert some of my expectations for the "final boss".

Honestly, it's more about people than super heroes if get what I mean, the dialogues were so good that I often thought I was watching some animation of real conversations

I've enjoyed Telltale games in the past (specifically Tales from the Borderlands and Batman), so I'll likely pick this one up later during a sale.

I'm one of those who are waiting for the final episode to be released before I dive in! Super excited to try it though!

Are the "minigames" not too tedious ? I love Telltale games, for the story. I really disliked when they tried to implement too much "active gameplay" like they did with the last season of The Walking Dead (which had more shooting / action sequence), or The Expanse that felts like a walking simulator with barely any story

Still glad they're making a good comeback

Half the game is cutscenes in the form of a show, the other half is a rather fun management sim, where you balance your 'heroes' and calls coming in. Keep in mind, the choices you make in the story portion affect the management portion. I made Jack mad, and that led to a really rough shift. I whole heartedly recommend it. Even as is, since each episode takes about an hour.

Thanks, I think I'm gonna take it anyway, but I'll wait for a GOG release (when all episodes are available)

I don't trust episodic games and DRM, I've seen too many issues of people locked out of their games/episodes

i have the mini games turned off so i can watch the game but honestly, wish i had them enabled cuz the video still does its slomo stuff. overall fun game :]

Cool, I love it when games allow to turn off some QTE and stuff like that, it's great for accessibility

It's on my list.

Right after my current replay through Rogue Trader and putting a couple dents in my pile of shame.
