Spiders Georg is absolutely beside himself

The signal to noise ratio on that network has gotta be insane.

Is this the dark web I keep hearing about?

I wonder if they have any social interactions with each other, beyond mating and so on.

resipsaloquitur@lemmy.world · 13 pts · 304d

Not since the cotillion last June.

Go to a lil market, discuss politics, chat in coffee shops, etc ... all in a friendly manner between two species where one is 4× larger (in body-length alone) than the other. Basically like humans & cats.

Did you, by chance, read "Children of Time" by Adrian Tchaikovsky? 😬

I wonder how much cannibalism there is. I cant imagine their prey make it far past the entrance.

The sheer hubris of actually touching it repeatedly. There is no way to know how it could react to outside bacteria and whatever else is on him. He might have just killed the entire thing just to get his Tik Tok video.

Big_Boss_77@lemmynsfw.com · 12 pts · 304d

You summed up Tik Tok perfectly, yes.

InFerNo@lemmy.ml · 8 pts · 304d

Just being there and breathing probably releases more bacteria than just touching it

tooclose104@lemmy.ca · 6 pts · 303d

Not gonna lie, I thought this was going in a different direction. Like, the hubris, it could have reacted by swarming him like he was food to a hungry, sentient blob of nightmares.

Abandon, all hope.

ripcord@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 304d

No way. This is cool.
